“We already do geological CO2 storage safely.” – Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

CO2 has been injected underground for nearly 100 years, and no dedicated geologic CO2 storage project has ever resulted in appreciable leakage of CO2. Since the 90s, projects on 5 continents have successfully stored tens of millions of tons of CO2 underground.
