ACTION: Call these 3 Massachusetts State Legislators and urge them to support S.2096

S. 2096, the Massachusetts Carbon Dioxide Removal Leadership Act (CDRLA), is new OpenAir supported legislation that has been introduced by State Senate Majority Leader Cynthia Stone Creem. For our campaign to make it law to succeed we need the support of 3 key leaders in the legislature. Please take a moment right now, and make and report your calls. It really makes a difference!!!

Your calls can be very short – less than a minute will do!

  1. First call State Senate President Karen E. Spilka (top).
  2. Then repeat calls for State Senator Michael J. Rodrigues (Chair of the Senate Ways & Means Committee), and State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz (Chair of the Assembly Ways & Means Committee). Click on the “State Legislator” drop down and select the name of each legislator to proceed, one after the other. You can click on their face to have their information pop up in Step 2.

Here is what you will want to cover on each call:

  • “Hello” – introduce yourself, and state your NAME
  • Identify yourself as a voting Massachusetts resident, and mention the town/city that you live in.
  • Tell the staff person that you are calling to urge the legislator to support carbon removal leadership in Massachusetts by supporting S.2096, the Massachusetts Carbon Dioxide Removal Leadership Act, this legislative session.
  • Feel free to add a comment about why you support it and think it should be law.
  • “Goodbye and thank you!”
